Love to Start Things........

here is an unarranged snapshot of the new work I keep starting in my studio.  this is a common occurrence.   what will eventually happen, is that I will run out of new paper.   then I will have to get to work on finishing these up.  in the meantime, I'm having a blast!

working on this year's christmas card!

listening to Sufjan's new Christmas album...including the 12 1/2 minute "Christmas Unicorn" song.
seriously amazing stuff......it's surely causing me to think outside-the-box.   in fact, this year there will BE NO BOX!

Autumn Air Scene

I've got a SECRET!

Actually, I have 3 of them.  You can (try to :)) find them by clicking "preview" at
SECRET ARTWORKS.  This is an important fundraiser for ARTWORKS and a really fun night!  Your ticket to go includes a voucher for one of the pieces of secret art.   See you there!

Good Gifts

Thanks to everyone who came out for the Autumn Air Show!  It was a great day, I especially enjoyed selling mirrors and paintings to fine folks like Adrienne's mama, who gave her this nifty mirror for her birthday!  They make great wedding gifts, too.  I am happy to personalize them with initials of the happy couple, and the date of the wedding.

A Small Glimpse of Four New Paintings

I'll be at the opening!  Stop by,the work is small so it's affordable.  Plus live music and wine!

Fresh Art/Silent Art

Here is my offering for Behringer-Crawford's 20th Anniversary FRESH ART/ Silent ART auction on Sept 15,6-11.  Having participated in  Fresh Art , requiring the artist to create a piece in the lovely Devou Park between 8 am and 4 pm, and having almost had a nervous breakdown doing so....this year I have opted to donate to the Silent (and ever so much more SERENE) auction.
If you are in the market for ART this is a great way to add to your collection AND support the museum's children's programming.  The night begins with COCKTAILS at 5:45, then a delicious DINNER (with lots of opportunity to preview the artwork).  Then COFFEE, DESSERTS and a BAR during the very spirited LIVE AUCTION  8-10 pm.

Here is the new work, and oh, do I mean NEW.....now hanging in the Atrium of College Hill Presbyterian Church.  Thanks to all of you who came out for the opening!  For those of you who missed it, the exhibit will be up through the month of August.  Regular hours (when someone is actually at the desk are 11-5) but it's open many mornings and evenings as well.  I love this show; the way 4 different artists with 4 different visions put something cohesive and beautiful and spiritual together.  I've especially enjoyed hearing everyone's thoughts (and feelings!) about the work....displaying art is meant to be a "discussion" and I've learned so much from those of you who have shared your responses.
