40% of each of the 15 paintings for the Children's Hospital Proton Project (with ArtWorks and Kolar design) were due and submitted today. Here are some details from a sampling of the work.  Here's hoping that no major changes/modifications will be recommended by the review committee!  

hope and courage

underpainting for two bigger- than- my -usual paintings.  on deliciously expensive (thank you ArtWorks for your generous supply budget) arches 300lb watercolor paper.  Soundtrack:  The Black Keys, Alt-J and the perfect band for generating creativity, Radiohead.  Hope and Courage for the young patients at Children's Hospital/ Hope and Courage for the exhausted artist who is under a time crunch.

For the adults getting treatment at CHMC's new proton cancer treatment wing......(many of them older men with prostate cancer).   Can you see what I did with this?  Can't wait to paint these BIG!
