6th, 5th, 4th editions of a painting that started out fresh and lively.

now layers of paint later, it is still and tight.

New Year work......an experiment with paint and medium. Instead of using paint to "illustrate" a concept (which, frankly, I really love to do) I am in the process of learning how to use paint to "paint" and if a concept shows up, good for it. This painting is days and days of covering up and starting over. It's busy, no doubt, and it could use some more covering up, but for now it's my "sampler" and I'm sticking by it!
