Hyde Park ART REMIX

Remember all of the artwork I made for the Hyde Park Art Show?  Well, it never saw the light of day due to very wet conditions.  The fine folks at College Hill Coffee are allowing me to display and sell this work for a one-day only event.  Come for breakfast, lunch, tea or coffee and enjoy the holiday spirit at this cozy coffee shop.  I'll have one-of-a-kind pieces in every size and price range for your holiday gift-giving.  If you can't make this show and are interested in a piece, just let me know and I'll make arrangements.  Hope to see you all there!

Hyde Park Rain Out

Here is my short version Sunday's events:    Hyde Park Art was a "wash " for me.  Thanks to those who helped and supported in word and/or deed.  My apologies to those who came looking.   Watercolor on paper and rain and a very leaky tent combined to send us home before we even opened for business.  Look for news of a new Etsy store and a couple of "home shows" where you can select from a large collection of work.... just in time for the holidays!

For the longer version (complete with a wide-range of feelings) please contact me.  or maybe let's just let this one go.  Fortunately, one of my favorite ways of handling disappointment is to make art.  This may work out in the long run!

a couple of GOLDEN TICKETS

So excited to share that I have 2 pieces in this year's Golden Ticket show at the Clifton Cultural Arts Center.   Opening is September 6, 2013 from 6-9pm.  Hope to see everyone there.  In the meantime, I am busy in the studio preparing for the HYDE PARK ART SHOW on October 6.  Mark your calendars!

Golden Ticket Offerings

I'm hoping to get a piece into the Clifton Cultural Art Center's annual Golden Ticket show opening this Fall.  Submissions due very very soon!  Here are 2 of the 4 I'm working on.  They are both about leaving my church after 30+ years.  They were both a joy to create...very therapeutic and and calming.

College Hill Spring Fling

I'll be at the College Hill Spring Fling on Saturday May 11.13 from 10-4.

Location; behind Schwartz Jewelers, Bacalls Cafe and College Hill Coffee Co. , Silk Road Textiles and Marty's Hops and Vines.  Plenty of local artists (good stuff!) , drinks and eats available.  Come out and say hi and buy something to say Happy Mothers Day to your mama (the following day!)

On being Judged

Here is a piece I am submitting tomorrow morning for the "pre-judging" of the Hyde Park Art Show.
A great, popular outdoor show coming up in October. Lots of competition but worth a try.   Twas a fun piece to make....pages of an old bible, math tables, rice paper and yes, I put a bird on it.  I love birds.  I love this bird.  More to come.

A great day at Northminster....

Thanks to all of you who braved the snow to come out to the Northminster Show.  After a quiet, snowy morning the afternoon was filled with old and new friends, good conversations about art , and plenty of encouraging sales.    I appreciate every one of you and your support.
